Industries I have done the work in

SEO for the Seattle businesses I know from the inside

Every industry searches differently. A parent looking for a daycare, a traveler booking an airport car and a homeowner with a burst pipe type very different things, at very different moments. These are the industries where I know those searches, because I have worked on them.

What your customers type

black car service Seattle
Sea-Tac airport car service
Pier 91 cruise transfer
limo service Bellevue

The catch: each of these is a different trip, and Google wants a different page for each.

Car, limo and chauffeur services

One homepage cannot rank for every trip you sell

Airport runs, cruise transfers, weddings, corporate accounts and hourly chauffeur work are separate searches with separate customers. Most transportation sites put all of it on one page, so they rank for none of it, while booking directories and national brands take the clicks. Your booking system often makes it worse, because reservations happen in a portal that does not tell you which search they came from.

What I focus on

  • A dedicated page for each trip type, airport and cruise terminal
  • City pages for Bellevue, Kirkland and the Eastside where you actually pick up
  • Google Business Profile services and photos that show your real fleet
  • Tracking quote requests and calls back to the search that sent them
  • Seasonal pages ready before cruise and event season, not after

What parents type

daycare near me
infant care Ballard
preschool Green Lake
Montessori Bellevue

The catch: parents search close to home, so the map results decide most of it.

Daycares, preschools and early learning centers

Parents decide in the map results, before they ever reach your site

Childcare searches are almost always local and almost always on a phone. Parents compare the three map results, read the reviews, look at the photos and call or book a tour. If your profile has old photos, unanswered reviews or the wrong category, you lose the family before they see how good your program is. On the site, parents look for ages served, hours, and how to book a tour, and most childcare sites make them hunt for all three.

What I focus on

  • Google Business Profile built for parents: programs, hours, real classroom photos
  • A clear page for each age group: infants, toddlers, preschool, before and after school
  • A tour request that is one tap away on every page
  • Review replies that answer the questions other parents are quietly asking
  • Pages ready ahead of enrollment season, when parents start searching

Your industry is not on this list?

The method is the same for any local service business: find what customers type, build the pages and profile that answer it, track the calls. Send me three searches and I will tell you if I am the right fit.

What clients type

DUI lawyer Seattle
criminal defense attorney near me
uncontested divorce Washington
what happens after a DUI arrest

The catch: legal directories own much of page one, so you compete with them and with other firms.

Law firms

Each practice area is its own search, and its own competition

Someone charged with a DUI does not search for "law firm." They search for the charge, often in a hurry and often late at night. Firms that list every practice area on one page rarely rank for any of them. On top of that, legal directories take a large share of page one, so your site, your profile and your directory listings all have to work together.

What I focus on

  • A real page for each practice area and charge type, not a bullet list
  • Answers to the questions people search before they call a lawyer
  • Consistent firm details across Google and the legal directories
  • Backlinks from relevant legal and local sources
  • Call and contact tracking so you see which practice areas bring cases

What homeowners type

emergency plumber Seattle
TV mounting near me
furnace repair Renton
roof leak repair Tacoma

The catch: you work at the customer's address, so your service area matters more than your own.

Plumbers, HVAC, contractors and installers

The customer calls whoever shows up first, on their phone

Home service searches are urgent. Water on the floor, no heat, a job that needs doing this week. The customer taps the first business that looks credible and calls. Most home service businesses work from a home address or a shop nobody visits, which changes how the map results treat them, and many never set their service areas up properly, so they only show up close to where they park the van.

What I focus on

  • Google Business Profile set up correctly as a service area business
  • Service pages for the jobs that pay, not just a list of everything you do
  • City pages for the areas you actually drive to, where there is real demand
  • A call button that stays visible on every phone screen
  • Review requests after every job, and replies to every review

Questions

About industries

Why these four industries?

Because they are the ones I have done the work in. I would rather show you four industries I know well than a list of thirty I have never touched.

My industry is not listed. Can you still help?

Often, yes. If you serve local customers who search for you on Google, the same approach applies. The free audit will tell us both whether I am the right fit before anything starts.

Do directories like Yelp or legal directories still matter?

Yes. In many industries they take a large share of page one, and your listings on them feed into how Google sees your business. Part of the work is making sure those listings are accurate and consistent.
